NURSING ASSISTANT – REHABILITATION CENTRE

Location:Sultanate of Oman
Experience:Minimum 3 years of relevant experience after qualification
Nationality:All nationalities except African, Pakistani, Nepalese, and Bangladeshi
Qualification:ANM or a one-year Diploma/Certificate in Nursing Assistant from a recognised institution

Salary:

- OMR 250 per month for candidates with ANM qualification
- OMR 230 per month for candidates with a Diploma/Certificate in Nursing Assistant

Advenxa Recruitment is currently recruiting Nursing Assistants for a leading healthcare organisation in the Sultanate of Oman. The selected candidates will work at a rehabilitation centre, providing basic nursing care and support to residents with physical, cognitive, and functional disabilities under the supervision of registered nurses.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily activities, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding.
  
• Support nurses in providing care to residents with physical and cognitive disabilities.
  
• Measure and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure, as trained and authorised.
  
• Assist with positioning, turning, mobilisation, and safe patient transfers.
  
• Help residents use wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility aids.
  
• Assist with meals, hydration, and feeding as directed.
  
• Support residents with medical devices, including catheters, tracheostomy, and PEG tubes, under nursing supervision and within the approved scope of practice.
  
• Observe residents for changes in physical or mental condition and promptly report concerns to the Staff Nurse.
  
• Assist with pressure injury prevention, skin observation, and regular repositioning.
  
• Maintain accurate care records and follow infection prevention and control procedures.
  
• Assist nurses during emergencies and support rehabilitation activities as instructed by nurses and therapists.
  
• Maintain residents' comfort, dignity, privacy, and safety while ensuring a clean patient-care environment and following institutional policies.
  

Requirements

Qualifications

• ANM certification or a one-year Diploma/Certificate in Nursing Assistant from a recognised institution.
  
• The qualification must be verifiable through the Oman Dataflow verification process.
  

Mandatory Experience & Skills

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience after obtaining the qualification.
  
• Nationality eligibility must meet the specified restrictions.
  
• Dataflow verification of qualification, licence, and experience must be completed.
  
• Basic nursing-care skills and knowledge of patient hygiene.
  
• Ability to assist residents with daily activities, mobility, and transfers safely.
  
• Knowledge of infection prevention and control practices.
  
• Ability to recognise and report changes in residents' physical or mental conditions.
  
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  
• Compassionate, patient-centred approach and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
