Deck Mechanic – Marine

Responsibilities

Perform inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of deck machinery and mechanical equipment.
Maintain winches, capstans, pumps, hydraulic systems, deck cranes, and related marine equipment.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as per schedules and manuals.
Identify mechanical faults, replace defective parts, and support equipment testing.
Maintain tools, spare parts, and maintenance records.
Follow PTW, LOTO, housekeeping, and marine HSE procedures.

Requirements

Minimum 3–5 years of Deck Mechanic experience in marine projects.
Experience on vessels, barges, shipyards, ports, or marine facilities.
Good knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, rotating, and deck machinery systems.
Able to troubleshoot mechanical faults and perform repair/overhaul activities.
Familiar with preventive maintenance and equipment inspection practices.
Trade certificate / Diploma in Mechanical or relevant discipline preferred.
