Heavy Equipment Mechanic – Marine

Responsibilities

Perform inspection, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of heavy equipment used in marine operations.
Maintain excavators, forklifts, loaders, cranes, generators, compressors, and other mechanical equipment.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as per schedules and manufacturer recommendations.
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical faults and replace defective components.
Perform servicing, overhauling, lubrication, and equipment testing after repair.
Follow PTW, LOTO, housekeeping, and marine HSE procedures.

Requirements

Minimum 3–5 years of Heavy Equipment Mechanic experience in marine projects.
Experience in shipyards, ports, barges, marine terminals, or similar environments.
Good knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, brakes, and heavy equipment maintenance.
Able to troubleshoot and repair construction and material-handling equipment.
Familiar with preventive maintenance, breakdown repair, and equipment inspection.
ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Heavy Equipment Maintenance preferred.
