QC Welding Inspector – Marine

Responsibilities

• Inspect welding activities on marine structures, piping, decks, and fabricated components.
  
• Verify compliance with approved WPS, PQR, drawings, and project specifications.
  
• Check fit-up, joint preparation, welding parameters, consumables, and welder qualifications.
  
• Conduct visual inspection of completed welds and coordinate NDT activities where required.
  
• Review inspection reports, welding records, repair logs, and quality documentation.
  
• Coordinate with welders, fabricators, supervisors, and client/QC teams to close quality issues.
  

Requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of QC Welding Inspection experience in marine projects.
  
• Experience on vessels, barges, shipyards, ports, or marine fabrication projects.
  
• Strong knowledge of welding processes, defects, inspection methods, and applicable codes/standards.
  
• Familiar with WPS/PQR, welder qualification, NDT, and welding documentation.
  
• CSWIP 3.1 / AWS-CWI or equivalent certification preferred.
  
• Good reporting, inspection, and communication skills.
