Deck Electrician – Marine
Responsibilities
- Perform inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems and deck equipment.
- Maintain motors, panels, lighting systems, generators, cables, and electrical controls.
- Support maintenance of winches, cranes, pumps, and other electrically operated deck machinery.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as per schedules and manuals.
- Identify electrical faults, replace defective components, and test equipment after repair.
- Follow PTW, LOTO, electrical safety, and marine HSE procedures.
Requirements
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of Deck Electrician experience in marine projects.
- Experience on vessels, barges, shipyards, ports, or marine facilities.
- Good knowledge of marine electrical systems, motors, control panels, generators, and deck machinery.
- Able to troubleshoot electrical faults using test instruments.
- Familiar with preventive maintenance and safe isolation procedures.
- ITI / Diploma in Electrical Engineering or relevant trade certification preferred.
