Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

Purpose: • The role will ensure that electrical designs, installations, testing, commissioning, and O&M activities are executed in full compliance with International standards and codes, statutory requirements, and contractual obligations. The successful candidate will contribute to project execution from commissioning until the operation begins, while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Responsibility: • Provide technical support during the O&M phase • Support development of O&M strategies, maintenance plans, and performance optimization • Assist with defect liability management and warranty claims • Provide technical expertise in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for industrial projects. • Prepare and review detailed engineering documentation, drawings, and specifications. • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and project specifications. • Support project planning, cost estimation, and procurement of electrical equipment and materials. • Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of electrical installations. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during design, installation, and operational phases. • Collaborate with project managers, instrumentation engineers, mechanical engineers, and other disciplines to ensure integrated solutions. • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the electrical engineering function.

Requirements

• BSc/B-tech degree in electrical Engineering • 5 years of relevant post graduate experience within a Pyrometallurgical environment (Rotary kiln, Reduction Furnaces / and Refining furnaces) Level & Type of Knowledge, Experience & Skills Required: § Strong knowledge of applicable engineering codes, standards, and safety regulations. § Proficiency in engineering software and design tools relevant to E&I systems. § Experience in project execution, including testing and commissioning of E&I systems. § Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. § Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams. § Proficiency in engineering design review and technical assurance § Ability to interpret and approve electrical drawings and calculations § Sound understanding of EPC and construction methodologies
