leaching & reagent operator

To operate the leaching circuit and manage reagent dosing and handling, maintaining target leach conditions safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate agitated leach tanks and thickeners per standard operating procedures
  
• Prepare, dose and monitor process reagents (e.g. sulphuric acid, reductants) to target set-points
  
• Monitor pH, temperature, density and other leach parameters, adjusting as instructed
  
• Handle and store reagents safely in line with HSE and COSHH/MSDS requirements
  
• Take and label process samples for lab analysis as required
  
• Report abnormal conditions to the Team Leader promptly
  
• Maintain accurate shift logs and housekeeping standards
  

Position Requirements

Qualifications:

Essential:

• Secondary education; basic process/plant operations training
  

Experience:

Essential:

• 2+ years' experience as a process operator in a leaching, hydrometallurgical or chemical processing environment
  
• Prior antimony-specific experience is not required - equivalent experience in copper or other base-metal hydrometallurgical operations is acceptable.
  

Desirable:

• Experience with reagent/chemical handling and COSHH procedures
