Lead QC Engineer – Welding

We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Lead QC Engineer – Welding in Qatar. Key Responsibilities

• Lead welding quality-control and inspection activities across assigned projects.
  
• Review welding procedures, WPS, PQR and welder qualification documentation for compliance with applicable requirements.
  
• Monitor welding activities and ensure adherence to approved procedures, specifications and quality standards.
  
• Coordinate welding inspections and required NDT activities throughout fabrication and construction stages.
  
• Identify welding defects and non-conformities and coordinate appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  
• Maintain inspection reports, quality records, traceability documents and welding-related QA/QC documentation.
  
• Coordinate with engineering, production, construction, inspection and client representatives on welding quality matters.
  
• Guide QC inspectors and welding personnel to maintain required quality and compliance standards.
  

Required Skills

1. Welding Quality Control: Strong knowledge of inspection and quality-control practices for welding activities.
   
2. WPS/PQR & Welder Qualifications: Ability to review welding procedures and qualification documentation.
   
3. Welding Codes & Standards: Ability to interpret and apply relevant welding codes, specifications and acceptance criteria.
   
4. NDT Coordination: Knowledge of appropriate NDT methods and inspection requirements for welded joints.
   
5. QA/QC Documentation: Strong capability in inspection reports, traceability, NCRs and quality records.
   

Preferred Skills

• Experience leading welding QC teams on major engineering projects.
  
• Strong understanding of fabrication and construction quality processes.
  
• Experience coordinating with clients and third-party inspection agencies.
  

Work Experience Requirements

The posting requires 15–17 years of experience. Candidates should have substantial professional experience in welding inspection and quality-control functions, with the technical depth expected of a Lead QC Engineer.

Education

• Minimum: B.E/B.Tech – Mechanical / Material / Metallurgical Engineering
