Manager – Sales, Marketing & Collections (RMC)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced RMC professional to lead sales, marketing and payment collections in Chennai. The role is responsible for business growth, customer acquisition, profitable sales and timely recovery of outstanding payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop business opportunities with builders, developers, contractors and infrastructure companies.
  
• Achieve monthly sales volume, revenue and collection targets.
  
• Build strong relationships with existing customers and acquire new accounts.
  
• Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and finalise orders within approved commercial terms.
  
• Monitor market demand, competitor pricing and upcoming construction projects.
  
• Coordinate with batching plant, quality and logistics teams to ensure timely supply and resolve customer concerns.
  
• Review customer creditworthiness, recommend credit limits and monitor payment terms.
  
• Track outstanding receivables, ageing and overdue accounts; drive timely collections.
  
• Resolve billing discrepancies and payment disputes in coordination with Accounts.
  
• Lead the sales and collection team and submit regular business performance reports.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience specifically in the RMC industry, with exposure to sales, marketing and collections.
  
• Strong knowledge of the Chennai construction market and an established customer network.
  
• Proven track record in achieving sales targets and recovering outstanding payments.
  
• Strong negotiation, communication, team management and customer relationship skills.
  
• Willingness to travel across Chennai and surrounding project locations.
  
• Qualification: Any graduate; Civil Engineering or an MBA in Marketing is preferred.
  
• Compensation: Commensurate with experience and industry standards.
