We are looking for an experienced Windows and Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and support robust IT environments. With a strong background in both on-premises Windows systems and cloud platforms, you will play a key role in ensuring high availability, security, and performance of our infrastructure.

The Cloud and Data Center Wintel and Backup Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day administration, maintenance, and support of Windows-based servers, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise backup systems. This role ensures the reliability, performance, and security of IT services across both on-premises and cloud environments.

Primary Responsibilities

Wintel Administration

• Administer and maintain Windows Server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO).
• Perform routine patching, updates, and system health checks.
• Monitor and troubleshoot server performance and availability.
• Support virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V).

Cloud Infrastructure Support

• Assist in managing cloud resources (Azure, AWS).
• Monitor cloud workloads and assist with provisioning and scaling.
• Support cloud backup and disaster recovery configurations.
• Maintain documentation for cloud configurations and procedures.

Backup Operations

• Administer backup tools (e.g., Veeam, Commvault).
• Monitor backup jobs and resolve failures or alerts.
• Perform regular restore tests and ensure data recoverability.
• Maintain backup schedules and retention policies.

Maintenance & Monitoring

• Use monitoring tools to track system health and performance.
• Respond to incidents and service requests related to servers and backups.
• Maintain asset inventory and configuration documentation.

Security & Compliance

• Apply security patches and follow hardening guidelines.
• Support audit and compliance activities (e.g., access reviews, backup logs).
• Ensure systems meet internal and regulatory standards.

Behavior Abilities

1. 10 years' experience in infrastructure, 5+ years of experience in workstation build and automation
2. Self-motivated, eager to learn in the IT profession
3. Problem-solving and analytical thinking
4. Sense of accountability and ownership on the environment supported
5. Adaptability and flexibility on technology deployed and utilized through keeping updated with evolving technologies and best practices
6. Team player, must be able to work with people within and outside of the IT department
7. Customer service oriented
8. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Fluent English-speaking mandatory
9. Ability to analyze and synthesize situations and understand the business constraint
