Client Service & Administration Officers – NSW Government

- Contract to 30 October 2026 + possibility of extension
- Newcastle West – onsite Monday to Friday
- $46.58 including superannuation ($41.59 per hour + super)
Our client is a NSW Government organisation seeking Client Service Officers and Administration Support Officers to join their Newcastle-based team.
There are six positions available across two role types:

4 x Client Service Officers
-
2 x Administration Support Officers
These positions are based onsite in Newcastle West, working Monday to Friday from approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Role Summary
These roles support the delivery of customer-focused services through a combination of client service, administration, records management and case support.
Depending on the position, you may be responsible for assisting customers and stakeholders, managing enquiries, maintaining accurate records, preparing correspondence and documentation, and supporting the day-to-day administration of customer matters.
Client Service Officer – 4 Positions
Key responsibilities may include:

Responding to customer, family, representative and stakeholder enquiries by phone and email.

Providing clear and accurate information while delivering a professional and empathetic customer experience.

Managing customer interactions and maintaining accurate records and case information.
-
Supporting customer matters, including administrative and financial management activities.

Liaising with internal teams, government agencies, service providers and community organisations.
-
Escalating complex enquiries, complaints or sensitive matters appropriately.
Administration Support Officer – 2 Positions
Key responsibilities may include:

Providing administrative and operational support to the team.
-
Managing correspondence, shared inboxes, records and electronic documentation.

Completing data entry and maintaining accurate customer and stakeholder information.

Preparing documents, correspondence, reports and other administrative material.
-
Assisting with meetings, research activities and general team coordination.

Managing competing priorities and completing work within required timeframes.
About You
We are looking for candidates with:
-
Previous experience in customer service, administration, case support or a similar environment.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-
A professional and empathetic approach when dealing with customers, including people experiencing sensitive or complex circumstances.
-
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
-
Confidence using computer systems, email, databases and records management systems.
-
The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a busy team environment.
Previous experience within NSW Government, financial administration, community services, customer service centres or case management environments would be advantageous.
Successful candidates will be required to complete a National Criminal Record Check and two reference checks.
