We are currently representing a leading private healthcare group in Indonesia seeking an experienced Head of Eye Center to lead the strategic development, clinical excellence, operational performance, and growth of its specialized ophthalmology services.

The mandate is to develop the Eye Center into a recognized Center of Excellence, combining world-class clinical quality with strong operational performance, innovation, and sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the short- and long-term strategy for the Eye Center
• Establish the center's positioning as a leading Center of Excellence in Ophthalmology
• Identify opportunities for new services, subspecialties, partnerships, and business development
• Drive patient volume, service utilization, revenue growth, and overall center performance
• Ensure high standards of clinical quality, patient safety, evidence-based practice, and clinical governance
• Work closely with ophthalmologists and medical teams to continuously improve clinical outcomes and service quality
• Lead budgeting, financial planning, resource allocation, and achievement of operational and financial targets
• Optimize patient flow, manpower productivity, capacity utilization, and operational efficiency
• Monitor KPIs and use clinical, operational, and commercial data to drive continuous improvement
• Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams across doctors, nurses, and supporting functions
• Build strong relationships with patients, physicians, insurance partners, vendors, and other healthcare stakeholders
• Strengthen the Eye Center's reputation and support branding and market-development initiatives
• Evaluate emerging developments in ophthalmology technology, advanced diagnostics, telemedicine, digital healthcare, and AI-enabled solutions
• Drive adoption of relevant technologies and innovations that improve clinical outcomes and patient experience

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Medical Doctor qualification, with Ophthalmologist (Sp.M) specialization strongly preferred
• Master's degree in Hospital Management, Healthcare Management, or related field would be advantageous
• Approximately 10+ years of relevant experience within ophthalmology services, specialist healthcare centers, or hospital management
• Proven leadership experience managing a specialist medical service, Eye Center, Center of Excellence, or major hospital service line
• Strong understanding of clinical operations, patient management, quality, and healthcare service delivery
• Commercial and managerial capability across budgeting, financial performance, operational efficiency, and business development
• Proven ability to work effectively with specialist doctors and multidisciplinary clinical teams
• Strong strategic leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management capabilities
• Professional proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English

Highly Preferred

• Experience developing or scaling an Eye Center / Ophthalmology service
• Track record of developing specialist healthcare services into a recognized Center of Excellence
• Strong professional network within the ophthalmology and broader medical community
• Experience developing new clinical services and ophthalmology subspecialties
• Strong understanding of advanced ophthalmology equipment, diagnostics, and treatment technologies
• Experience driving patient growth, service utilization, partnerships, and healthcare branding
• Exposure to digital healthcare, telemedicine, or AI-enabled healthcare solutions
