Computer teacher

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement a comprehensive computer science curriculum tailored to students' grade levels and skills.
• Teach students the basics of computer operations, coding, word processing, spreadsheets, and other essential computer applications.
• Foster a positive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and curiosity.
• Assess and evaluate students' progress through quizzes, tests, and assignments, providing constructive feedback.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in technology and adapt teaching methods to incorporate new tools and techniques.
• Support students in developing digital literacy and critical thinking skills.
• Collaborate with faculty to integrate technology into other subject areas and support interdisciplinary projects.
• Organize and supervise extracurricular computer clubs or activities.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a computer teacher or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals and teaching methods.
• Proficient in various programming languages and software applications.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to adapt to different learning styles and needs.
• Strong organizational and classroom management skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Education, or a related field.
• Teaching certification or licensure as required by the local educational authority.
• A minimum of 1–2 years of teaching experience, preferably in a classroom setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Education Technology or a related discipline.
• Experience with online teaching tools and platforms.
• Additional certifications in specific computing systems or software.
