Dispatch Officer

This client is inviting applications for the position of Dispatch Officer. We are looking for a reliable, organized, and self-motivated individual to coordinate dispatch operations and ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time, while supporting sourcing and processing activities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Dispatch Coordination

• Coordinate daily dispatch activities to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
• Monitor vehicle loading and confirm that products are dispatched correctly.
• Ensure all dispatched products match orders placed and meet company standards.

2. Documentation and Systems

• Prepare and verify dispatch documentation, including delivery notes and loading schedules.
• Maintain accurate dispatch records and update the ERP system as required.

3. Sourcing and Processing Support

• Support the sourcing team with product sourcing activities.
• Assist with banana ripening and processing activities.

4. Coordination and Compliance

• Liaise with warehouse personnel and other departments to ensure smooth dispatch operations.
• Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and operational procedures.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in any field from a recognized institution.
• 2–3 years' experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Knowledge of an ERP system is an added advantage.
• Good communication, planning, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Previous experience in dispatch, warehouse, or logistics operations is an added advantage.
