Application Solutions Architect

The client is looking for a solution architect who carries both design and technical credibility on Guidewire.

• The architecture side is explicit: architecture files, impact assessment (coexistence, dependencies, performance, security), Archimate diagrams, compliance with the organization's standards.
  
• The technical side is just as explicit: Gosu, PCF configuration and Guidewire APIs, with responsibility for mentoring developers and setting best practices on the Guidewire cloud solution.
  
• The 5-year Guidewire requirement is labelled mandatory, which makes it the first filter.
  
• The mandate is fully remote and open to Canadian residents, including unilingual English speakers, which widens the pool beyond Québec.
  

Target candidate: a solution architect with at least 8 years in architecture or a related role, including 5 years on PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter or BillingCenter with hands-on Gosu development and PCF configuration. We are looking for someone who has already signed off solution architecture files and has already acted as the technical reference for a team of Guidewire developers.

Requirements

REQUIRED

• Significant experience in solution architecture on projects
  
• Command of the Guidewire suite: PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, BillingCenter
  
• Command of the Gosu language and page configuration (PCF)
  
• Knowledge of Guidewire suite APIs
  
• Command of one or more architecture frameworks and Archimate notation
  
• Inter-application integration (APIs, Web Services, event-driven architecture)
  
• Microservices approach
  
• On-premise and cloud deployment of application solutions (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, CaaS)
  
• Developer mentoring and Guidewire Cloud development best practices
  
• Priority management, planning and matrix environment
  
• Oral and written communication, simplifying complex topics, escalation of critical issues
  
• Intermediate-advanced English
  

ASSET

• Guidewire certification (Associate, Specialist or ACE), labelled an "important asset"
  
• Knowledge of Guidewire APD (Advanced Product Designer)
  
  

Profiles to Exclude:

• Profile mentioning Guidewire only in functional analysis, testing or project management, with no demonstrated Gosu development or PCF configuration.
  
• Guidewire developer or tech lead profile with no solution architecture file produced (IT orientations, non-functional requirements, transition strategies).
  
• Solution or enterprise architect profile outside Guidewire, with less than 5 years of hands-on work on the suite.
  
• Profile whose integration experience is limited to consuming APIs, with no inter-application integration design (Web Services, event-driven).
  
• Guidewire profile with no demonstrated mentoring or technical reference role with developers.
