Role Description The Technician role is a full-time, on-site position located in Berea, OH. The Technician will assist with the maintenance, repair, restoration, and installation of pipe organs and related components, working on both modern and historic instruments. Day-to-day tasks include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, performing tuning and voicing under supervision or direction, supporting solid-state and audio-visual upgrades, documentation etc.. The role involves careful handling of pipe organ parts, using hand and power tools, reading technical drawings, and helping with pipe organ relocation/restoration, packing, and on-site setups at client locations. The Technician will collaborate with experienced team members, lead projects on rotation with team members, interact professionally with clients, follow safety procedures, and contribute to keeping projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and basic electrical skills, with the ability to work on moving parts, wiring, and control systems.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools safely for precision assembly, repair, and installation tasks.
- Ability to read and follow technical drawings, diagrams, and written instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and quality, with a focus on careful workmanship and instrument preservation.
- Physical stamina and mobility, including the ability to lift moderate weights, work in confined spaces, and climb ladders/scaffolding as needed.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills, with a professional, client-focused approach on job sites.
- Reliable time management and organizational skills to support on-schedule and on-budget project delivery.
- Interest in music, pipe organs, or fine mechanical/acoustic instruments; prior experience with organ building or repair is a plus.
- Willingness to learn specialized techniques such as tuning, voicing, and solid-state upgrades through on-the-job training.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
