Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) (Days)

Mobile Health Team Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) - Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) for a 13-week travel assignment in Glens Falls, NY.
Contract Details
  • Days, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
  • Start Date: 11/12/2026
  • Contract: 13 Weeks
  • Location: Glens Falls, NY
  • Hourly Pay: $ 29.00
  • Non-taxed Stipend: $1246.00
  • Weekly Total Pay: $ 2029.00
  • Weekend Requirements: Part of shift
  • Vaccine Requirement: COVID vaccinations strongly encouraged.
  • EMR System: MUST HAVE EPIC EXPERIENCE! Please note on submission to prevent any delays!
  • Dress Code: Personal scrubs of any color - No designs or cartoons. No hoodies.
  • Cancellation policy: Facility can cancel up to 5 shifts per 13 week contract, must give 2 hr notice
  • 8hrs non-billable orientation
** Requested time off during the course of this assignment MUST be noted and verified at upload. RTO REQUESTS AFTER UPLOAD WILL NOT BE APPROVED!! NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED (less is better) Must be available to work holidays as needed.

In this position, you will be an important member of the patient care team. The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for management and delivery of patient care to assigned patients in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and within the scope of practice delineated in the New York State Nurse Practice Act. Provides direct patient care, delegates/assigns responsibility as appropriate to others, and serves as leader of the interdisciplinary team in collaboration with and under the direction of the attending physician.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring post-operative patients’ levels of recovery and consciousness from anesthesia and providing updates to the treatment team as needed.
  • Treating pain, nausea, and other post-operative symptoms of anesthesia and administering medication as prescribed.
  • Regularly checking vital signs to quickly intercept any potential issues and ensure a smooth recovery.
  • Keeping bandages, dressings, etc. clean, dry, and safe.
  • Educating patients and their families on post-surgery care, as well as answering questions.
  • Updating charts, patient files, and medical records.

Compensation:

  • Weekly Pay (hourly) + Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)
  • Pay package details provided upon offer


Requirements


Minimum Requirements:
  • Must have a minimum of 2+ years of PACU Experience
  • Procedural sedation experience and experience with AM admissions/blocks and recovery required
  • Must have experience with AM admissions/blocks and recovery
  • MUST HAVE EPIC EXPERIENCE
  • Previous travel highly preferred
  • Must have ACLS certification
  • Traveler candidate must have their own vehicle. This is a firm requirement.
  • Must have and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification during employment
  • Effective team skills including interaction, support, and respect are required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Willingness to participate in continuing education and training programs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication skills, professionalism, and reliability
  • Must be able to work independently/hit the ground running
  • Able to adapt to stressful situations quickly and effectively
  • Ability to learn and apply basic computer skills including locating and opening documents, completing forms, opening and sending e-mail messages.

  • Drug screen and background check (facility required)
  • Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned
