Developer

Red EmberRecruitment is recruiting for a Developer for our client in the North of Johannesburg. The Developers focus will be AI, with strong software development capability and the ability to create, develop and implement AI capabilities. The client is looking for someone with practical technical experience rather than someone who has simply had exposure to AI tools.

Requirements

• 3 to 6 years of relevant software development experience
  
• Experience mentoring junior developers
  
• Practical experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI), including developing or integrating AI and AI-enabled solutions
  

• Experience with any of the following:
  

o Client Server / .Net Remoting / Windows Services
o C# / .Net
o Angular / React (advantageous)
o XML / JSON
o Agile / Scrum environments

• Extensive experience with:
  
• Relational as well as non-relational databases (Cosmos and MSSQL advantageous)
  
• Message brokers (RabbitMQ / Azure Service Bus / AWS EventBridge / etc.)
  
• Cloud platforms (Azure advantageous)
  
• REST APIs
  
• Microservice architecture
  
• Troubleshooting performance bottlenecks
  
• Debugging production issues in high availability systems
  
• Integrating with 3rd party systems
  
• Git version control
  
• Advantageous:
  
• CI/CD Pipelines and deployment processes
  
• Elasticsearch
  
• Azure Durable Function Apps
  
• Azure DevOps
  

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum: Diploma or related qualification in Software Development, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.
  
• Preferred: Degree in B.Eng., B.Sc., B.Com or related qualification in IT or Software Development, with additional qualifications or certifications in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science or related fields advantageous.
