Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant – Barking and Dagenham

Senovo is recruiting a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant for a specialist SEMH school in Barking and Dagenham. This role suits someone who combines warmth with clear boundaries and can help pupils re-engage positively with learning.

The role

• Provide classroom and individual support for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.
• Reinforce consistent routines and positive behaviour plans.
• Use calm de-escalation and restorative approaches.
• Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and therapists.

About you

• Experience in SEN schools, alternative provision, youth work or behaviour support.
• Confident, patient and emotionally consistent.
• Strong communication and safeguarding awareness.
• QTS is not required for this support role.

Pay: £95–£115 per day PAYE. Full-time opportunity.
