Production Team Lead

We are seeking an experienced Production Team Lead to join our millwork team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in custom commercial millwork production, a deep understanding of shop drawings and blueprints, and proven leadership skills to oversee daily operations in the shop. This role requires precision, efficiency, and the ability to guide a team to produce high-quality work that meets project specifications and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the millwork production team.

  • Review, interpret, and verify shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications for accuracy prior to fabrication.

  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure production schedules are met.

  • Inspect completed work for quality, craftsmanship, and adherence to design specifications.

  • Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and installers to resolve design or production issues.

  • Maintain equipment, tools, and materials inventory to ensure smooth workflow.

  • Promote and enforce company safety standards and OSHA compliance.

  • Train and mentor production staff to enhance skill development and productivity.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial millwork fabrication or carpentry, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.

  • Ability to read, interpret, and work directly from shop drawings and architectural blueprints.

  • Strong understanding of millwork processes, materials, and finishing techniques.

  • Proficient in the use of woodworking machinery, hand tools, and measurement instruments.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced production environment.

  • Reliable transportation and a valid Texas Driver’s License required.
