Security

ACDC Express is seeking a vigilant, reliable, and professional Security Officer to help maintain a safe and secure environment for our employees, customers, and assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring access to the store, preventing theft and damage, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with company security procedures while delivering excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Control access to the store and monitor entry and exit points.
  
• Greet customers and provide professional assistance.
  
• Monitor CCTV cameras and alarm systems.
  
• Prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorised access.
  
• Patrol the store and surrounding premises.
  
• Check and verify customer receipts when exiting the store.
  
• Respond to incidents and report security breaches.
  
• Maintain accurate incident reports and security records.
  
• Assist with emergency procedures when required.
  
• Support the sales team during busy trading periods.
  

Requirements

Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
Valid registration/grading as a Security Officer under applicable Namibian security legislation, issued by the
relevant Namibian security regulatory authority (essential)
1–3 years' experience in a security role.
Retail security experience will be advantageous.
Basic computer literacy.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's licence and own transport will be advantageous.
Clear criminal and credit record.
Legally authorised to work in Namibia.
Registered with Security Enterprises and regulations Board
