A precision, quality-driven, regulated manufacturer with a medical device focus is seeking a hands-on Quality Control Manager to lead inspection activities, support quality system compliance, and partner closely with manufacturing. The role combines technical quality expertise with leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
A precision, quality-driven, regulated manufacturer with a medical device focus is seeking a hands-on Quality Control Manager to lead inspection activities, support quality system compliance, and partner closely with manufacturing. The role combines technical quality expertise with leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily quality operations for precision-machined medical device components and assemblies
- Verify revisions, specifications, and customer requirements on scheduled jobs
- Develop and maintain inspection plans, processing sheets, and quality documentation
- Perform and oversee First Article, in-process, and final inspections
- Give machinists and production staff technical quality guidance
- Lead Material Review Board (MRB) activities and dispositions
- Investigate NCRs, customer complaints, and quality performance
- Support corrective and preventative actions
- Maintain calibration records, SOPs, and quality documentation
- Support ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 compliance through audits and reviews
- Train, mentor, and develop inspectors and manufacturing staff
Requirements
- 5+ years of quality experience in precision machining, CNC, medical device, or similar
- Strong blueprint reading and GD&T
- First Article Inspection experience
- Micrometers, calipers, height gauges, thread gauges, pin gauges, optical inspection tools
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485
- Supervisory, training, or mentoring experience preferred
- Preferred: CNC/Swiss machining, medical device, ISO 13485, leading quality teams, ASQ certification (CQI, CQT, CQE), Bachelor’s in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality
- Weekend availability; local candidates only; authorized to work in the US
