Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate IB PYP Mathematics Teacher to join IB school in Sarjapur, Bengaluru. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating inquiry-based mathematics instruction within the Primary Years Programme (PYP) framework, helping young learners develop strong numerical, analytical, and conceptual understanding.

Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver engaging, student-centered, inquiry-based math lessons aligned with the IB PYP curriculum framework.
Integrate mathematics meaningfully across Transdisciplinary Units of Inquiry.
Assess and monitor student progress using diverse formative and summative assessment tools; maintain clear records of learning outcomes.
Foster a supportive, inclusive, and collaborative classroom environment that encourages inquiry, critical thinking, and international-mindedness.
Collaborate actively with grade-level team members, PYP Coordinators, and single-subject teachers for collaborative planning.
Effectively communicate student growth, progress, and learning needs with parents through reports, conferences, and portfolios.
Participate in school events, professional development workshops, and IB training sessions.

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education (B.Ed.), or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of teaching experience, with direct experience teaching Mathematics within an IB PYP framework preferred.
Curriculum Knowledge: Strong understanding of the IB PYP philosophy, learner profile attributes, and inquiry-based pedagogy.
Skills: Excellent communication, classroom management, and organizational skills. Proficiency in integrating educational technology into daily learning.
