About the Role

We’re looking for a commercially minded, hands-on Pigment Consultant to join our Delivery Team and help clients turn complex planning challenges into practical, trusted solutions. You’ll lead discovery, design and model-building activities, translating finance and operational needs into clear, scalable Pigment solutions that Customers can confidently use.

You’ll combine structured thinking, strong financial modelling and data awareness with credible client-facing consulting. This role offers real ownership and visibility in a growing practice, with the opportunity to become Pigment certified quickly and make a meaningful difference to how clients plan, forecast and run their businesses.

What Good Looks Like

  • Clients have planning models that are accurate, well structured, clearly documented and adopted by their teams.
  • Business requirements are translated into simple, scalable designs built around clear dimensions, drivers and calculations.
  • Workstreams are delivered with realistic estimates, proactive risk management and regular, transparent client updates.
  • Data imports, mappings and reconciliations are controlled, with issues identified early and resolved carefully.
  • Knowledge is shared across the practice through high-quality documentation, training, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

  • Lead client workshops to understand planning processes, capture requirements and constructively challenge assumptions.
  • Turn broad or ambiguous business needs into clear functional designs and explain technical decisions in plain English.
  • Design and build connected planning models in Pigment, including driver-based models, multi-dimensional logic and scenarios.
  • Configure planning solutions that support finance use cases such as profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Work with client data, including imports, integrations, source-system mapping and reconciliation.
  • Own assigned workstreams by estimating effort, planning delivery, managing priorities and flagging risks early.
  • Test solutions thoroughly, check calculations and data accuracy, and support clients through go-live and tight delivery deadlines.
  • Create and maintain design documents, handover notes, user guidance and training materials.
  • Deliver clear client training and handover sessions that support adoption and long-term self-sufficiency.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, contribute to practice development and share knowledge and reusable approaches.
  • Build Pigment product expertise and complete relevant certification promptly.

Requirements

About You

  • Hands-on experience with a connected planning or EPM platform such as Anaplan, Workday Adaptive Planning, Jedox, Oracle EPM/Hyperion, or IBM TM1/Planning Analytics; direct Pigment experience is welcome but not essential.
  • Alternatively, advanced Excel modelling experience, including driver-based models, multi-dimensional logic, complex lookups and scenario modelling, with evidence of building models relied on by other users.
  • A good understanding of core finance concepts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, budgeting and forecasting. Workforce or sales planning experience would be an advantage.
  • Comfortable working with data imports, integrations, mapping and reconciliation, with basic awareness of SQL or ETL concepts.
  • A structured approach to problem-solving, breaking a business challenge into dimensions, drivers and calculations before building.
  • Confident running workshops, gathering requirements, presenting recommendations and pushing back constructively when needed.
  • A clear communicator who can explain complex concepts simply and build trusted client relationships.
  • Highly organised and comfortable managing multiple clients, workstreams and changing priorities.
  • Accountable, collaborative and calm under pressure, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
  • Honest and transparent with clients and colleagues, including when plans change or something has gone wrong.
  • Motivated by solving problems, building useful solutions and seeing clients improve the way they work.
  • Keen to grow a career in planning technology and gain Pigment certification quickly.

Benefits

  • Help shape a growing, close-knit Pigment practice where your work will have genuine ownership and visibility.

  • Join a collaborative consultancy where people are encouraged to challenge ideas, improve how work is delivered and support one another.
