IT Support Specialist

Dayton, Ohio Metro Area  |  100% Onsite  |  Full-time, Direct Hire  |  $55,000–$65,000 annually

Position Overview

Zer04 Consulting is recruiting an IT Support Specialist for a confidential employer in the Dayton area. This mid-level Tier II role emphasizes hands-on Microsoft 365 support alongside Windows desktop troubleshooting, endpoint deployment, and everyday connectivity issues. The successful candidate will investigate escalated problems independently while working directly with users onsite.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve escalated Tier II issues involving user devices, software, Microsoft 365, and connectivity.
• Support Microsoft 365 users, including routine administration and troubleshooting.
• Configure, deploy, image, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Troubleshoot VPN access, Wi-Fi, and basic network connectivity; escalate issues outside the role’s scope.
• Document resolutions and communicate clearly with users throughout the support process.
• Assist users in person and through remote support tools as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Approximately 2–4 years of relevant IT support experience, including Tier II or comparable escalated support.
• Strong hands-on Microsoft 365 support and administration experience.
• Current Windows desktop troubleshooting and endpoint deployment/imaging experience.
• Practical understanding of VPN troubleshooting and basic networking and Wi-Fi concepts.
• Ability to prioritize requests, own technical issues, and communicate with nontechnical users.
• ​​​​​​​Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.  No corp-to-corp arrangements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with macOS or Linux desktop support.
