Associate Project Manager

We are adding an Associate Project Manager to our team to support a new engagement with a Hamburg-based renewable energy firm. This client is currently dealing with a series of disconnected spreadsheets and legacy databases used to track their wind and solar asset performance. Your job will be to help our developers organize the process of replacing those spreadsheets with a central, functional database and a custom admin interface. This is a fully remote role where you will learn how to take a set of business problems and turn them into clear technical tasks.
About Pixel Systems
Pixel Systems is a small, remote software agency that avoids flashy trends in favor of building software that actually works for businesses. We focus on the practical side of development: CRM integrations, internal tools, and the database migrations that most people find tedious. We believe that a working system is better than a perfect plan that never gets finished. We work with fixed quotes and weekly demos, ensuring that our clients always know exactly what they are paying for and when they will see results. Our team consists of experienced developers and designers who prefer solving real operational problems over chasing the latest trends. When something breaks, we are the ones who answer the phone and fix it.
The Role
In this role, you will act as the bridge between the technical team and the renewable energy client. You will spend your time making sure everyone understands what needs to be built next. This involves taking notes during meetings, updating task lists, and helping the developers understand the specific business rules the client uses for their energy reporting. You will also help prepare the weekly demos where we show the client the progress we have made.
We are looking for someone who is organized and enjoys making sense of complicated information. You do not need to be a senior expert, but you should be someone who follows through on their commitments. Since we are a small team, we value people who are comfortable asking questions when they are stuck and who are okay with doing the unglamorous work required to get a project across the finish line.
While this is an entry-level position, it helps if you have a basic understanding of how software projects move from an idea to a finished product. Familiarity with the following tools or concepts will make your start easier:
Working here is different from working at a large corporation. We do not have layers of management or long, unnecessary meetings. We focus on shipping code that helps people, like the operations teams at the energy firm who are tired of manual data entry. We offer a permanent, full-time position that is 100 percent remote, allowing you to work from wherever you are most productive. The pay is competitive for the market and reflects the value we place on having a well-organized project lead. You will have the chance to learn directly from senior developers who care about writing clean, stable code.
We value honesty and straightforwardness in everything we do. At Pixel Systems, we do not hide behind jargon when a project hits a snag: we talk about it, fix it, and move on. We are looking for someone who wants to build a career in project management by focusing on the fundamentals of good communication and technical organization. If you prefer a quiet, productive work environment where the focus is on building useful tools rather than chasing trends, you will fit in well here.
