Digital Banking Product Director

We are conducting a confidential search for a Digital Banking Product Director to lead product strategy for a digital banking platform for a banking group based in Mumbai, working hybrid. Mumbai is India's financial capital and the centre of the country's UPI-led digital banking transformation, and this is a director-level opportunity for a product leader who can own the roadmap across payments, lending, and account experiences.

In this role, you will own the product roadmap across digital banking journeys including onboarding, payments, and lending, lead product design for UPI and NPCI-rail integrations, and ensure compliance with RBI guidelines on digital lending, data localisation, and customer consent. You will define the API and partnership strategy for embedded finance and account aggregator integrations, and drive fraud and risk product requirements in partnership with risk and compliance teams.

You will build and lead a team of product managers and designers, partner with engineering, risk, and compliance on regulatory-safe product launches, and represent product strategy to executive leadership and the RBI-facing compliance function. You will also own the go-to-market and adoption strategy for new digital banking features across retail and SME segments.

Nice to Have:

• Experience building products on the UPI or NPCI payment rails
• Background navigating RBI digital lending or data localisation guidelines
• Experience with account aggregator or embedded finance integrations
• Track record launching digital banking products at scale in India
• Familiarity with India's fraud and risk regulatory landscape
