Location: San Rafael, CA (Hybrid: 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)
Compensation: $135,000–$150,000 Base + Annual Performance Bonus + Full Benefits

What You'll Own

• Complex Compliance: Prepare sophisticated federal and state tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estates.
• Tax Planning & Research: Dig into multi-tiered tax positions, track statutory changes, and craft tailored strategies that actually move the needle for clients.
• Client Advisory: Serve as a direct point of contact for key client stakeholders — owning deliverables, expectations, and consulting needs.
• Engagement Management: Lead multiple concurrent engagements from kickoff to final delivery with technical precision and rock-solid deadline discipline.
• Team Mentorship: Work shoulder-to-shoulder with partners and mentor junior staff through review feedback and hands-on technical knowledge sharing.

What We're Looking For

• 8+ years of progressive tax preparation and advisory experience in public accounting.
• Deep expertise across federal and state compliance for diverse entity structures — individuals, partnerships, S/C-corps, and trusts.
• A proven track record of running multi-deadline workflows independently and without drama.
• A polished, confident client-facing presence paired with clear, sharp technical writing.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Accounting or Taxation; active CPA license preferred.
