Release Lead – Release & Deployment Management | ServiceNow, JIRA & Confluence

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Release Lead to create, manage, and oversee end-to-end deployment plans while ensuring reliable, repeatable, and efficient IT service delivery. The ideal candidate will drive deployment management best practices, coordinate across stakeholders, manage risks and dependencies, and provide clear communication to technical teams and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and manage end-to-end deployment plans, including scheduling, planning, and controlling the deployment process.
  
• Integrate deployment management practices into delivery processes to ensure reliable and repeatable IT services.
  
• Translate technical expertise into recommendations that improve efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security.
  
• Drive best practices and support planning, evaluation, operationalization, and reporting activities.
  
• Establish and maintain processes for tracking and monitoring deployment-related updates and changes.
  
• Convert deployment data into actionable reporting, recommendations, schedules, and decisions.
  
• Provide accurate, comprehensive, and timely communication and status reporting to stakeholders.
  
• Manage correspondence and communicate deployment impacts clearly and effectively.
  
• Provide subject matter expertise and guidance to IT support teams.
  
• Participate in remediation planning and collision avoidance strategies.
  
• Identify control and communication gaps and recommend improvements to prevent future issues.
  
• Present updates, accomplishments, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership.
  
• Identify, manage, and escalate risks, issues, and dependencies as needed.
  
• Create and manage work items independently within enterprise workflow tools.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in release and deployment management.
  
• Expertise in creating and managing deployment schedules and release plans.
  
• Experience integrating deployment management into IT delivery processes.
  
• Ability to influence stakeholders, build consensus, and make decisions that support technical integrity.
  
• Strong risk, dependency, and change management experience.
  
• Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
  

Proficiency with:

• ServiceNow

• Confluence
  

Working knowledge of:

• Agile methodologies
  
• Waterfall methodologies
  
• Hybrid delivery models
  

Understanding of DevOps principles and Continuous Delivery practices.
