Automation Intern

JOB PURPOSE

To support the engineering team in the design, programming, testing, and maintenance of industrial automation systems (PLC, SCADA, and instrumentation), while gaining practical experience in control and instrumentation engineering.


QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12.
  
• National Diploma Electrical Engineering (Electronics or Instrumentation)
  

Requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• 1-2 Years’ Experience (Advantage)
  
• Exposure to PLCs, SCADA, or instrumentation (academic or project-based) is advantageous.
  
  

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE

• Basic Knowledge of PLC Programming skills, SCADA & HMI design, configuration, and implementation.
  
• Basic knowledge of Control and Instrumentation Design.
  
• Basic knowledge of Commissioning of Control and Instrumentation Systems
  
• Basic knowledge of popular PLC, SCADA, HMI and electrical products (Schneider, Allen Bradley, Siemens, ABB, Adroit, Aveva.)
  
• Basic knowledge of Industrial Networking design and configuration (Ethernet, MODBUS, Fibre optic, Profibus, Devicenet, etc.)
  
• Intermediate knowledge of Telemetry systems
  
• Basic Computer Literacy
  
• Basic knowledge of Electrical systems Design, especially MCC’s
  
• Basic knowledge of Computer Aided Design Systems and Tools (AutoCAD Electrical)
