This opportunity is ideal for a professional committed to student advocacy, emotional wellness, and addressing challenges that may interfere with learning, attendance, behavior, and healthy relationships.

How You’ll Make a Difference

In this role, you’ll help students navigate social, emotional, behavioral, and academic concerns by providing individualized support and group-based interventions. You’ll identify barriers to student success, develop strategies to address their needs, track progress, and connect students and families with appropriate educational and community resources.

Working alongside teachers, administrators, families, and related-service professionals, you’ll help coordinate student support and promote a positive school experience. Additional responsibilities include contributing to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, providing social work insight during educational planning, and maintaining accurate records of services and student progress.

Requirements

To qualify for this role, applicants must hold a Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution. Candidates must possess a valid Michigan Department of Education (MDE) School Social Worker approval (or verified eligibility to secure state certification prior to employment). Strong crisis-management capabilities, exceptional communication skills, and a deeply collaborative professional approach are required.
