Night Shift Construction Supervisor - Structures and Fit-Out

About the Employer

Our client is an established engineering, construction and operations business delivering transport, building, water and other infrastructure works across Australia. Its multidisciplinary teams support the development and operation of assets used by local communities.

The Opportunity

Lead an evening and night construction crew on a major city building development. The advertised shift runs from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m., initially supporting structural and steel works and later fit-out delivery.

Your Work

• Coordinate site crews and subcontractors, sequencing works to maintain safe productivity.
• Plan daily and weekly activities and resolve construction interfaces and constraints.
• Review drawings and designs and control safety, quality and environmental risks.
• Maintain progress reports, shift handovers and cost awareness within delegated authority.
• Develop site personnel and manage subcontract performance and workforce requirements.

Requirements

Skills, Education and Requirements

• Trade qualification in carpentry, formwork, concrete, structural steel or a comparable discipline.
• Experience supervising structural work on major construction projects valued at $300 million or more.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods and ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Experience leading site crews, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Relevant construction qualification and White Card.
• Strong safe planning, coordination and practical problem-solving; availability for 3 p.m.–1 a.m. shifts.
