About the role: 
Join CRU as an Analyst covering the stainless steel value chain. You’ll develop market analysis and forecasts, translate research into accurate and current customer data, and contribute insights that inform client engagement and CRU’s wider thought leadership.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop robust analysis across the services within your remit and contribute perspectives to CRU content and client engagement.
• Contribute to market analysis and forecasts through primary and secondary research.
• Build and maintain relationships with market, industry, and institutional contacts.
• Keep commodity market data accurate and current, and organise and update data series used in customer deliverables.
• Support Service Leads in identifying business opportunities and assist with client meetings, demonstrations, and webinars.
• Respond to client and internal requests for market forecast data and analysis.
• Build a profile as a trusted commodity analyst and share market learnings with the wider team.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier institution.
• Further education or certification in a subject relevant to commodity research, such as geology, economics, or engineering, is preferred.

Skills & Experience:

• More than two years’ experience in mining and metals commodity research; direct industry experience is highly advantageous.
• Strong research and analytical skills, including the ability to assess qualitative and quantitative data, identify trends and drivers, and generate insights.
• Highly numerate, with the ability to interpret, manipulate, and manage large datasets and apply mathematical concepts.
• Collaborative approach, with the initiative and drive to contribute independently and as part of a global team.
• Confident communicator able to build trust with clients and market participants across different channels.
