Jigsaw Club for locals - HammondCare Wahroonga

A rewarding role helping residents connect, reminisce, and enjoy jigsaw puzzles in a relaxed and friendly setting.

Help create a welcoming space where residents can gather over a shared love of puzzles, conversation, and companionship. By encouraging resident participation and celebrating individual abilities, you'll help residents feel included, valued, and confident as they work together towards a common goal.

Celebrate completed puzzles and enjoy the satisfaction of watching scattered pieces come together, one piece at a time. Along the way, you'll help spark memories, foster connections, build confidence, and create meaningful moments of friendship, achievement, and fun.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare. HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements

We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9:30am- 11:30am and 1- 4pm Monday to Friday (weekdays only), visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.

18 years or older • NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •
