With centers across Karnataka (Bangalore — Koramangala, Malleshwaram) and Tamil Nadu (Chennai — Tambaram, Nungambakkam; and Coimbatore), over 100,000 students trained, 5,000+ daily learners and 25+ institutional partnerships (including RV University and GSSS Institute of Engineering and Technology for Women), ArivuPro operates at a B2B/institutional scale — and is now expanding into new certification tracks including US CPA. That growth has outpaced ad hoc HR support.

We're hiring a Head of HR Operations & Recruitment to build

the function properly — owning everything from faculty and staff hiring to onboarding, policy, compliance and people operations across all five centres.

THE ROLE

This is a build-and-own mandate, not a maintenance role. You will design ArivuPro's HR operations function from the ground up — processes, policies and systems — while personally driving recruitment for a business with two distinct hiring tracks: subject-matter faculty (CA/CS/CMA/ACCA/CPA and other qualified experts) and corporate/support staff (academic coordinators, business development, operations, admin) across centres in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. You'll report to the Director and Vertical Head, and have real latitude to

shape how the function runs.

WHAT YOU'LL OWN

•Recruitment strategy & delivery — Run full-cycle hiring for both faculty (qualified CA/CS/CMA/ACCA/CPA professionals and subject experts) and corporate roles across Bangalore, Chennai (Thambaram, Nungambakkam) and Coimbatore, including sourcing channels specific to each (professional networks and alumni for faculty; standard job boards and referrals for staff).

•Faculty pipeline — Build a repeatable pipeline for scarce, high-demand faculty talent ahead of new batch launches and new certification tracks (e.g., the upcoming US CPA rollout), so hiring never becomes the bottleneck on batch scheduling.

•HR operations infrastructure — Stand up onboarding, attendance, leave, performance and offboarding processes across all five centres; select and implement an HRMS/ATS suited to a multi-location, dual-workforce (faculty + staff) academy.

•Policy & documentation — Own and maintain HR policy documentation, including compensation and incentive structures for revenue-facing roles (e.g., business development), employment contracts, and faculty engagement terms; ensure consistency across centres.

•Compliance — Ensure statutory compliance (PF, ESI, gratuity, POSH, shops & establishments, and other applicable labour law) across both states of operation — Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

•Institutional coordination — Work closely with academic operations on faculty deployment and batch scheduling, and support HR aspects of institutional partnership agreements (e.g., staffing commitments tied to

university/college tie-ups).

•Team building — Recruit and lead a small HR ops/recruitment team as hiring volume grows across centres.

•Culture & retention — Own engagement and retention initiatives for a workforce split between full-time staff and part-time/visiting faculty — a materially different retention problem from a typical corporate team.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

•8+ years in HR with at least 3 years owning recruitment and HR operations end-to-end, ideally with P&L or function-building accountability.

•Proven experience recruiting specialist/credentialed talent, not just generalist corporate hiring — ed-tech, professional training, higher education, EdTech, or a similarly expertise-driven hiring environment is a strong plus.

•Working knowledge of Indian labour law and statutory compliance (PF, ESI, gratuity, POSH); multi-state/multilocation HR experience preferred given ArivuPro's five-centre footprint across Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

•Track record of building HR processes and policy from scratch, not just operating within an existing system.

•Comfortable in a fast-scaling, founder-led environment — able to move between strategic policy work and hands-on interview scheduling in the same week.

•Strong stakeholder management — this role sits close to the Director and Vertical Head and coordinates constantly with academic operations.

•Familiarity with the CA/CS/CMA/ACCA coaching or broader professional-certification education space is a strong advantage, though not mandatory.
