SEMH Art Intervention Mentor – Barking and Dagenham

Use practical creative activities to help pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs build trust, regulation and readiness to learn.

What you will do

  • Deliver structured art-based individual and small-group sessions.
  • Support emotional expression and positive engagement.
  • Follow agreed behaviour and safeguarding plans.
  • Share clear observations with pastoral and teaching colleagues.

What you will bring

  • Relevant SEMH, youth, creative or school-support experience.
  • Calm boundaries and confidence responding to challenging behaviour.
  • A restorative, encouraging approach.
  • QTS is not required for this school-support role.

Contract: Full-time temporary
Pay: £110–£150 per day PAYE

Right-to-work, references and enhanced child-workforce DBS checks apply.
