Chief Financial Officer and Regional Business Head

Scope: Global consolidated asset management reporting and financial governance across all hospitality assets, investments and joint ventures. Direct business and asset management responsibility for Nepal, Bhutan and China.

Location: Preferred Nepal base (Alternate at Dubai), with frequent travel within Nepal, Bhutan, China and other portfolio locations

Role Purpose

Provide the Managing Director and Boards with a reliable global view of performance, cash, capital, risk and asset value. Lead financial stewardship across CG Hospitality while acting as Business Head for Nepal, Bhutan and China, with accountability for regional operations, profitability, cash generation, asset performance and execution of approved business plans.

Key Responsibilities

1. Global Asset Management reporting

Own the consolidated global asset management and MIS reports, bringing together financial results, operating performance, capital expenditure, investment returns and risks for every region. Validate data with regional owners and operators; compare results with budgets, investment cases and market benchmarks. Track occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, GOPPAR, EBITDA, NOI, ROI and IRR, as applicable. Present outlooks, corrective actions, accountable owners and decisions required to the Managing Director and Boards.

1. Business Leadership for Nepal, Bhutan and China

Take direct responsibility for regional business plans, profit and loss, operations, cash generation and asset value across owned, managed and joint venture businesses. Lead assigned country and business teams; hold operators accountable through contractual governance. Drive revenue growth, productivity, cost efficiency, guest experience, service and brand standards. Review forecasts and results, address performance gaps early and ensure timely execution of approved initiatives.

1. Regional Asset and operator management

Assess each regional asset against its investment case, market potential and return profile. Lead owner discussions on budgets, KPIs, key appointments, commercial matters and capital expenditure. Deliver refurbishment, repositioning, cost restructuring and turnaround plans; assess operator or brand changes, refinancing and divestment with the investment lead. Monitor capital milestones, operating benefits and returns, and resolve escalated partner issues.

1. Treasury funding and investment support

Lead global cash planning, liquidity, working capital, banking relationships, debt servicing, covenant monitoring and financing execution. Assess capital allocation, funding affordability, foreign exchange and interest-rate exposures. Independently validate investment models, valuations, assumptions and proposed debt or equity structures; lead financial and tax diligence. Support investor and lender negotiations with the investment lead, implement approved funding arrangements and establish post-transaction financial integration and return tracking.

1. Audit controls compliance and risk

Oversee global audits, internal controls, tax, treasury, insurance and statutory financial compliance through local and corporate teams. Maintain delegated authority, reliable reporting systems and financial risk controls; track corrective actions and escalate material exposures. As regional Business Head, ensure Nepal, Bhutan and China businesses meet operational, regulatory, licensing and contractual obligations with local and legal teams. Monitor operational and geopolitical risks and maintain accountable mitigation plans.

1. Joint ventures and ownership representation

Represent CG Hospitality in assigned boards and owner committees, particularly for Nepal, Bhutan and China. Align co-investors, operators and lenders on regional strategy, performance, funding and capital deployment. Ensure joint ventures operate within approved authority, governance, reporting and funding frameworks. Maintain clear ownership positions, commitment records and follow-up actions. Build capable finance and regional leadership teams and establish a consistent review and escalation rhythm.

Candidate Profile

• Strong professional finance background, preferably CA, CFA, ACCA or equivalent; an MBA in Finance with substantial senior finance leadership experience may also be considered.

• Senior hospitality finance experience with substantive asset management and operations exposure, including responsibility for business performance, budgets, cash flow and capital decisions.

• Demonstrated ability to lead regional businesses and challenge hotel operators, with knowledge of hotel economics, management agreements, joint ventures and owner interests.

• Experience in multinational consolidation, MIS, treasury, audit, tax coordination and investment appraisal; strong analytical judgment, team leadership and board communication.

• Practical understanding of Nepal, Bhutan or China is desirable, with the ability to work across markets and travel regularly.
