SAP + AI Solution Architect (SAP S/4HANA / GCP / Data & AI) – Guatemala

We are seeking a SAP + AI Solution Architect responsible for designing, implementing, and evolving the organization’s technology architecture, ensuring that SAP S/4HANA, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), data platforms, Artificial Intelligence tools, and other enterprise systems operate as an integrated, secure, and scalable ecosystem.

This role combines enterprise architecture, SAP, cloud, data, integration, and AI. The Solution Architect will also serve as a technical reference for the SAP Functional, SAP Technical, AI & Data, and Infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain the enterprise architecture integrating SAP S/4HANA, GCP, AI tools, and other business systems.
  
• Define solution design standards, integration patterns, and architecture principles across the organization.
  
• Design the integration architecture using SAP BTP, including Integration Suite, API Management, Event Mesh, and AI Core.
  
• Lead the development and evolution of the corporate Data Lake in Google BigQuery, including the implementation of Google Cloud Cortex Framework with SAP templates.
  
• Define the company’s AI/ML architecture, including platforms, tools, model lifecycle management (MLOps), and evaluation standards.
  
• Establish standards to ensure AI models deployed into production meet explainability, security, and data privacy requirements.
  
• Design integrations between SAP, GCP, and external systems using APIs, messaging, and event-driven architectures.
  
• Lead the Technology Architecture Committee, evaluating technical proposals, resolving design conflicts, and documenting architecture decisions.
  
• Build and maintain the technology roadmap in alignment with business strategy and present recommendations to the Executive Committee.
  
• Identify technical debt and develop progressive modernization plans.
  
• Serve as a technical advisor to the SAP Functional, SAP Technical, AI & Data, and Infrastructure Leads.
  
• Collaborate with Cybersecurity to ensure architecture decisions meet security, IAM, and compliance requirements.
  
• Work with technology providers such as SAP and Google Cloud on architecture, product roadmaps, technical support, and new capabilities.
  
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical executives, connecting technology decisions with business objectives.
  

Requirements

• 10 years of overall experience in enterprise Information Technology.
  
• 7 years of experience working with SAP in a functional or technical capacity.
  
• At least 3 years of experience with SAP S/4HANA.
  
• At least 3 years of experience as a Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect.
  
• At least 3 years of experience with cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS, or Azure, including large-scale cloud data projects.
  
• At least 2 years of experience with AI/ML projects deployed into production.
  

Key Technical Skills

Advanced/expert-level knowledge in:

• SAP S/4HANA technical architecture, including in-memory architecture, Fiori, extensibility, and SLT.
  
• SAP BTP, including Integration Suite, API Management, and AI Core.
  
• Google BigQuery and Data Lake architecture, including partitioning, clustering, and optimization.
  
• Integration architecture, including REST, OData, Event-Driven Architecture, and API Gateway.
  

Working knowledge of:

• Google Cloud Cortex Framework and SAP templates.
  
• Vertex AI and BigQuery ML.
  
• Generative AI and LLMs such as GPT, Gemini, and Claude.
  
• AI integration through APIs, Prompt Engineering, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
  
• Architecture modeling frameworks such as TOGAF, C4, Archimate, and ADRs.
  
• Cloud security, including IAM, Zero Trust, SAP authorizations, and segregation of duties (SoD).
  
• DevOps and CI/CD for SAP and GCP, including pipelines, Cloud Build, and Terraform.
  

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
