EAL Educator

Plan and deliver effective English as an Additional Language (EAL) lessons for students from diverse linguistic backgrounds.
Develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, writing, and academic English skills.
Design differentiated and engaging learning activities based on individual language proficiency levels.
Assess students’ language development and maintain progress records.
Collaborate with subject teachers to support students in accessing the wider curriculum.
Provide targeted language support to students requiring additional assistance.
Develop students’ academic vocabulary and subject-specific language skills.
Support students in building confidence and effective communication skills.
Participate in parent meetings, student-support discussions, and academic planning.
Contribute to a multicultural, inclusive, and student-centred learning environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, TESOL, or a relevant field.
  
• Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience in IB and/or IGCSE/Cambridge curriculum.
  
• TESOL certification/completion is mandatory.
  
• Experience teaching EAL or English to multilingual learners.
  
• Familiarity with IB/IGCSE teaching and assessment practices.
  
• Strong knowledge of differentiated and student-centred learning.
  
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  
• Experience in an international-school environment is preferred.
