Senior Manager IT

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and direct the IT operations, ensuring the department meets organizational goals.
• Develop and implement IT policies and best practice guides for the organization.
• Manage IT staff by recruiting, training, and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and appraising their performance.
• Identify and act on opportunities to improve and update software and systems.
• Develop, manage, and track the IT department's budget.
• Ensure the security of the IT infrastructure and maintain compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Oversee troubleshooting, system backups, archiving, and disaster recovery.
• Establish and maintain relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
• Stay up-to-date with current and emerging technology trends and advancements.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an IT Manager or similar senior-level role.
• Extensive knowledge of IT systems, networks, and various software applications.
• Strong understanding of computer systems and new technologies.
• Experience with developing and implementing IT strategies.
• Familiarity with data management and analysis, business process management, IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks.
• Ability to manage personnel, prioritize tasks, and manage budget effectively.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Experience in project management and implementation of IT projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Master’s Degree in IT Management or relevant certification (such as PMP, ITIL) preferred.
• A minimum of 6-10 years of experience in IT management.
• Proven experience leading large IT projects and successfully managing the IT operations of a medium to large organization.
• Proficiency in managing various IT platforms and tools.
• Experience in a supervisory capacity preferred.
