Job Description: Lead Teacher

Location: Alipore, Kolkata 700027

CTC: ₹3,00,000 to ₹4,00,000 per annum, based on experience and interview

Experience: 4 to 5 years of preschool or early years teaching experience

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Lead Teacher who loves teaching and working with young children.

This is mainly a teaching role. The Lead Teacher will teach children every day, engage them through different activities, lead the classroom and make learning enjoyable.

The Lead Teacher will also guide and support the other teachers working in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach and engage young children every day.
• Plan and conduct age-appropriate classroom activities.
• Make learning fun through play, stories, music, art and movement.
• Understand each child's learning needs and support them accordingly.
• Keep children active, interested and involved in the classroom.
• Lead the classroom and guide other teachers in teaching and engaging children.
• Create a happy, caring and positive learning environment.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for someone who:

• Genuinely enjoys teaching and spending time with young children.
• Has experience in handling a preschool classroom.
• Can teach and keep a group of young children engaged.
• Is patient, caring, energetic and creative.
• Enjoys storytelling, music, art, movement and play based learning.
• Can guide and support other teachers in the classroom.
• Communicates well with children, parents and other teachers.

Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline.
• A qualification in Early Childhood Education, Montessori, NTT, ECCEd or a similar field is preferred.
• 4 to 5 years of preschool or early years teaching experience is preferred.

Location Preference

Candidates from Alipore, New Alipore, Behala, Chetla, Bhowanipore, Judges Court Road, Sarat Bose Road and nearby areas will be preferred.

Important Note

This role may include some coordination with other teachers and the school team when required. However, it is mainly a teaching role.

The main focus of the Lead Teacher will be teaching children, engaging them in learning activities, leading the classroom and guiding other teachers in teaching
