Job Summary

REAP HR & Recruitment Consultancy is recruiting a motivated and technically capable IT Engineer – UAE National for an exciting opportunity in Abu Dhabi.

This position is ideal for a high-potential Emirati fresh graduate with a strong academic foundation in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.

The selected candidate will work alongside experienced engineering and technology professionals, contributing to the implementation, integration, operation, and technical support of next-generation Automated Fare Collection (AFC) and Account-Based Ticketing (ABT) systems.

This opportunity offers valuable practical exposure to intelligent transportation systems, enterprise technology infrastructure, software integration, and emerging AI-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. AFC Systems & Technical Integration

• Assist in the implementation, integration, and testing of Automated Fare Collection systems.
  
• Support AFC devices, ticket validators, ticketing applications, and Central Back Office systems.
  
• Participate in system testing, integration validation, and technical troubleshooting.
  
• Assist in identifying and resolving hardware and software integration issues.
  

2. IT Operations & Technical Support

• Monitor system performance, availability, and operational efficiency.
  
• Support technical troubleshooting, incident investigation, and issue resolution.
  
• Maintain accurate technical documentation, system reports, and incident records.
  
• Assist engineering teams in ensuring reliable day-to-day system operations.
  

3. Software Engineering & Data Management

• Participate in software testing, debugging, and application support activities.
  
• Assist with API integration and communication between interconnected systems.
  
• Support data analysis, reporting, and system performance monitoring.
  
• Collaborate with technical teams to improve system reliability and efficiency.
  

4. Artificial Intelligence & Technology Innovation

• Explore potential AI applications in intelligent fare collection and ticketing systems.
  
• Support research into fraud detection, predictive analytics, and automated issue resolution.
  
• Contribute ideas for process automation and technology-driven operational improvements.
  
• Stay informed about emerging technologies relevant to intelligent transport systems.
  

5. Project Coordination & Engineering Support

• Collaborate with Novvan's technical and engineering teams.
  
• Participate in project discussions, technical reviews, and implementation activities.
  
• Support project documentation, testing procedures, and technical reporting.
  
• Develop practical knowledge of advanced public transport technologies.
  

Requirements

Education & Academic Background

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, or a closely related discipline.
  
• Graduates from Khalifa University are highly preferred.
  
• Good academic performance and GPA.
  
• Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
  

Technical Knowledge

• Fundamental understanding of IT systems, networking, and software applications.
  
• Basic familiarity with programming, databases, or software development concepts.
  
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, system integration, or cloud technologies is an advantage.
  
• Exposure to AI, data analytics, or API integration through academic projects is desirable.
  
• Interest in intelligent transportation systems and emerging technologies.
