Their duties and responsibilities include:

Greet and welcome clients as soon as they arrive at the office, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued
Direct clients to the appropriate lawyer or office within the firm
Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls while providing basic information when needed
Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries
Schedule and confirm appointments, manage calendar for attorneys
Ensure the reception area and all common areas are tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material
Perform administrative tasks, such as filing, photocopying, transcribing, and faxing
Process client payments and maintain financial records
Assist with legal document preparation as required
Order office supplies and keep inventory of stock
