The opportunity

A specialist SEN setting in Islington is recruiting a resilient support assistant to help pupils with social, emotional and mental-health needs engage safely with learning.

What you will do

• Build consistent professional relationships with identified pupils.
• Support emotional regulation and positive classroom routines.
• Use agreed de-escalation and restorative approaches.
• Track engagement and communicate clearly with the wider team.

What you will bring

• Experience supporting SEMH, behaviour or vulnerable young people.
• Calm authority, empathy and dependable professional boundaries.
• QTS is not required for this classroom-support role.
