SAMGI is seeking a General Surgeon with trauma experience to join an established Trauma and Acute Care Surgery team at a Level II teaching hospital in Sacramento, California. Experienced surgical colleagues, skilled APP support, and no billing or administrative burden — so you can focus entirely on being a surgeon.

THE POSITION

• Full-time General Surgeon — Trauma/Acute Care Surgery
• Level II Trauma Center · teaching hospital
• Collaborative team with Surgical Critical Care expertise
• Experienced PA/NP APP support
• Established community hospital · wide subspecialty coverage
• Up to $400,000 annual salary · flexible schedule
• No billing, no coding — focus on surgery

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Trauma / Acute Care Surgery

• Operative and non-operative trauma management
• Emergency general surgery and acute surgical care
• Trauma resuscitation and critical care management
• Multidisciplinary team collaboration

Medical Student education

QUALIFICATIONS

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in General Surgery
• California State Medical License required
• Prior experience in an ACS-verified Level I or II trauma program preferred
• Surgical Critical Care fellowship a significant advantage
• Interest in teaching
• Collaborative team player with a record of clinical excellence
