Workshop Manager - Large-Scale Agricultural Operation | Zambia

An established agricultural operation is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to lead workshop operations across multiple farming sites in Southern Zambia.

This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a large mixed fleet comprising tractors, trucks, earthmoving equipment, implements, pumps, and irrigation systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement preventative maintenance programs
  
• Manage workshop teams, mechanics, electricians, and stores staff
  
• Oversee machinery reliability and fleet availability
  
• Manage irrigation pumps and centre pivot maintenance
  
• Control workshop stores, costs, and procurement
  
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives
  

Requirements

• 10+ years maintaining agricultural machinery and heavy equipment
  
• 5+ years' workshop management experience
  
• Diesel mechanical trade qualification or related diploma
  
• Strong hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and diagnostic skills
  
• Irrigation and pump system experience
  
• Excellent leadership and administration skills
