CA-CalSTRS Senior Test Analyst

Senior Test Analyst for BenefitConnect: partner with IT and business on test case development; own/support test planning, scheduling, end-to-end and UAT; defect management and metrics; lead or guide large groups of UAT testers; use ALM/Jama/equivalent for full requirements-to-test-to-defect traceability.

Must-have (CalSTRS minimum technical qualifications)

• 7+ years within last 10 as Test Analyst on large org software/systems automating complex business processes
  
• Business analysis: scope assessment, BA planning, elicitation, docs of business/user/system requirements
  
• Cross-functional work with SMEs, architects, developers, testers
  
• Prepare test plans, test cases, document results; regression testing for maintenance releases
  
• 7+ years within last 10 producing BA/testing deliverables (BRD/FRD, test strategy/plan/cases, traceability matrices, transition plans)
  
• 3+ years Test ALM tools (HP ALM, Rational Requisite Pro, Jama, or equivalent) with full traceability
  
• Hybrid on-site 2–3 days/week West Sacramento CalSTRS HQ (hard gate)
  
• US work authorization; available ~Jan 2027; consent to CMAS offer packaging
  

Desirable

• Test Analyst experience at a State or Federal agency
  
• Pension / retirement software implementation testing
  
• Bachelor’s in CS, CE, MIS, or related
  
• Pension domain knowledge
  
• Leading large groups of UAT testers; multi-effort / ambiguous environments
  
• System test, role-based security, performance perspectives
  

Location (HARD GATE): Hybrid — on-site 2–3 days/week at CalSTRS HQ, West Sacramento, CA. Remote-only will not be submitted.

Type: Contract via AiQualTest LLC (CMAS path) · Est. start Jan 2027 · up to 24 months (+36 mo option) · ~172 hrs/month.
