Maintenance Assistant – 5-star Luxury River Lodge

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking a skilled and hands-on Maintenance Assistant to join a prestigious 5-star luxury river lodge in Hoedspruit, Mpumalanga. This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and reliable individual who takes pride in maintaining high standards and ensuring that the lodge’s facilities remain in excellent condition.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist with general maintenance and repairs throughout the lodge and its facilities.
  

• Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance issues and potential problems.
  

• Assist with plumbing, electrical, carpentry and other basic maintenance tasks.
  

• Maintain the lodge’s buildings, equipment, grounds and infrastructure.
  

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure that issues are resolved efficiently.
  

• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
  

• Ensure that all maintenance tools and equipment are properly maintained and stored.
  

• Support the maintenance team in keeping the property in excellent condition for guests and staff.
  

Requirements:

• Previous maintenance experience, preferably within a luxury lodge, hotel or hospitality environment.
  

• Practical knowledge of general maintenance, repairs and basic technical tasks.
  

• A hands-on approach with strong problem-solving abilities.
  

• Good attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  

• Reliable, organised and willing to assist with various maintenance duties as required.
  

• A flexible approach to working hours and the demands of a lodge environment.
  

Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience.
