Access Network Technical Support Engineer (12Mths contract - Telco)

About the Client

A telecom equipment and solutions provider specializing in optical network infrastructure, broadband access, and turnkey telecom projects for operators and enterprise customers.

Job Description:

• Responsible for the commissioning and maintenance of Access (OLT/ONU) equipment, as well as handling technical and engineering issues during project implementation and operation;
• Responsible for providing technical training and guidance related to Access networks and equipment;
• Maintain customer satisfaction and manage subcontractors;
• Responsible for ensuring the stability and reliability of the Access production network;

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical, Computer & Software Engineering, or related fields;
• Experience in access network maintenance, with hands-on experience maintaining equipment such as OLT, ODN, ONU, etc.
• Experience working with operator customers, NOC, field engineering teams or project teams to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
• Experience in customer/project coordination, including participation in project meetings, fault reporting and issue follow-up/closure.
• Working experience in GPON/Switch is preferred.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Relevant TM project / TM Access network experience is highly important.
• Familiar with basic networking technologies;
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Languages required: English and Malay; Mandarin proficiency is preferred to liaise with the China team. Chinese candidates are preferred.
