Position Overview

The Utility Billing Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate utility billing, account reconciliation, and timely issue resolution for our property management clients and residents. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and review monthly utility billing statements for accuracy and completeness
  
• Audit utility consumption data and investigate billing discrepancies
  
• Manage account reconciliations and maintain billing records
  
• Respond to billing-related inquiries from clients and residents via phone and email
  
• Coordinate with utility providers, property managers, and internal teams to resolve issues
  
• Generate reports and provide billing analysis to support client needs
  
• Ensure compliance with company policies and utility billing regulations
  
• Assist with onboarding new properties and utility billing implementations
  

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in utility billing, accounting, customer service, or related field
  
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently
  
• Experience with billing software, property management software, or utility management systems preferred
  
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred
